At school we have all different games we play like we play touch footy it is like rugby league but without as much tackling they just have to tap the person. We also play basket ball. In basket ball you have to shoot the ball into a hoop. We also have the game 44 home it is like the game you play called block 123. We play cricket and lots lots more.

Plantation break-up

On the 2Nd last day of school we have the Plantation break-up how we go to plantation for half the day. First its the year prep to 3 for the 1st half of the day and year 4 to 6 for the 2Nd half of the day. It is going to be so fun. I haven't been before so it's going to be my first time going to the Plantation break-up. "I can't wait"

School's almost over!! Another year well done. There is only 2 weeks left of school and it is jam packed with fun stuff that we are going to do like we have the swimming canival, we have the plantation break-up, we have a half a day one the last day of school so we only have to go to school to 12:00, there is the year 7 graduation, we have the end of year mass. So it all going to be fun, fun, fun!!!

mini vinnie's Christmas appeal

This year on this very jolly Christmas month the mini Vinnie's have been collecting presents and cards for our friends on the street this Christmas. We have got lots and lots of presents from genius and loving family's from our local community. The mini Vinnie's have also wrapped all of the presents as well. On Christmas day some of our community will be going around giving the presents ans cards out and giving our friends on the street a roast lunch/dinner as they go around.

Holes

I think I'm going to give up on this book because it is kinda slow and I'm just finding it boring. All of the chapters in this book are really short. I think the movie is better than the book because it explains Stanley Yelnats a lot more. If I could change any thing in this book I would change the start and make it faster. My favourite character is Stanley Yelnats because he is the guy that's going to the prison camp " Camp Green Lake" and he thought there was really going to be a lake there.

swimming carnival

On Friday the 30Th of November my school is having a swimming carnival. We have been have swimming lessons as well to get ready for the swimming carnival. I can't wait because it is going to be super fun and exciting.

Today in maths we tried to work out how long it would take to write to 1 million. I was working with 2 other people from my group and we came up with a number 1'111'112 we don't know if it was right but Mrs J said that the answer wasn't the main point of the Question she said it was the working out of it.

Our class has found out another cool thing called weworld. It is so if you don't want to put a picture of yourself on the Internet you can just go to weworld and make a we me like a picture of yourself but you make it. It is really fun you should give it a try yourself if you ever get the chance.

Steve Irwin Day

Next Thursday 15Th November, Australia has been invited to celebrate the memory of Steve Irwin. As part of this day of celebration, my schools students are invited to wear khaki/green for the day and bring along a gold coin donation to Steve's Wildlife Warriors. Come dressed as Steve or just wear something khaki or green. Lets celebrate the memory of this great man.

Melbourne cup

Today is the the Melbourne cup. My class has all got a horse to go for we picked them out of at hat. I got Sarrera the one in the picture. We also made ties with horses on them and we coloured on our jockeys. It was fun. So later we are going to watch the race and the person with the winner will get $3 and the person that has the 2nd place horse will get $2 and the person who has the horse that comes 3rd gets $1 and the person that has the horse that comes last gets $1 as well.

Our lunches

At my school we have lunch at 11:00 and at 1:30 we have afternoon tea. We only have tuck-shop (food ordered from school) twice a week Mondays and Thursdays. On the other days we have packed lunches so in our packed lunches we would have food that we would eat with our hands like chips, fruit or sandwiches. This is a picture of my lunch and the stuff I would have in my lunch box.

camp finished

Camp has finished now. It was really fun. we did lots of fun stuff like on the first day we went straight to brown lake and there we had three groups. I was in group 3 so the first thing I did was free play in the water then we did canoeing we capsized once and then we had raft building and my teams raft floated. The next day the first thing we did was go the the swimming enclosure then we did orienteering then we had boomerang art workshop we all got to paint boomerangs and then we had touch tanks where we touched all different animals from the sea. That night we had a Talent Quest me and my friends did break dancing for it. this a picture of us break dancing I am the one than circled in red. On the last day we went to cylinder beach that was the best bit of camp.

One dark night I was sitting In my bed and suddenly there was a bright light. Then in front of me was the..........................Cookie Monster "I didn't expect that" I say
"I'M a Ginnie" the Cookie monster says"and I'm giving you 2 wishes"
"ain't you meant to give me 3 wishes" I say confused
"NO, Why would you think that" says the Cookie monster. So I got my "2" wishes. For the first wish I wished for a monkey on a tricycle doing extreme sport. Then My second wish was a big mack with fries. "can I have my third wish now " I ask
"I will give it if you beg and wish for it" says the Cookie monster
"OK"I say"I beg and wish for it"
"ha ha" the Cookie monster says" you wished for it, ha ha"
So that's how I used up my three wishes!

Reading respons on The Thief lord by Corelia Funke

The Thief Lord by Cornelia Funke.

This book is pretty boring the blurb has nothing to do with this book. I thought it was going to be interesting by the front but its not. I would recommend this book to people who like books with good blurbs. I think I am going to keep reading this book because I have just started and the blurb sounds good and pulls you in. I have never read a book by Cornilia Funke.

My friend Jaiden and I worked together to make a board game and a character profile on pin and Danzie for our project on the book "Dragon keeper" It is really good and I like it. There are 25 squares. We start at chang'an and finish at ocean. There is a short cut bridge. There are 3 go back to starts and some trick spaces. It is fun and easy and little children would like it.

Kim Michelle Toft

On Monday Kim Toft came to our school. She is a silk painter. She is really good I with I could paint like that. She has a website called www.kimtoft.com.au Its a pretty cool site. Kim Toft also writes books some are for children and some are for anyone. So it is really good. she came because it was book week.

Art show

On Saturday the 1 of September our school had a art show. It was allot of fun. The art show was to sell all of the stuff that we did in art that past term. My class had done pots. We also did one big pot. On Friday night there was a "adults only" night and Saturday was the family day where family's could buy the things that their children had made. I won a prize it was a big box of arty stuff that was good. They also had pizza and other nice food. And you could paint stuff as well. This was instead of the fate.

Every 2 weeks we get our home work it is a grid and we also get like a booklet as well I like the grid better that lots of other kinds of home work because you can still be useing enegy while your doing your home work and in the booklet there is half about maths and half about english. If I could change any thing in this home work, well there wouldn't be anything I'ld want to change.

Japanese lunch

Today at our school we had a Japanese lunch. even I don't really like Japanese food it was still fun. I had a packet of wasabi it was so hot it like burnt my tongue and I had some fish sauce that was so disgusting on its own that it brag water to my eyes. But every thing else was good. There were 4 kinds of Japanese lunches I got the J one but lots of people got the A one.

Book Week

Next week at our school we are having book week. I like book week because I like to read and my favourite bit of book week if when you get to dress up like a character from a book.

I wonder who I'm going to be. I think I'm going to be the Cookie monster of one of the three little pigs. It is funny to see what all the people dress up like. So I think it is going to be a very fun week next week.

In numeracy block we are learing to get data in all different ways. The thing that we are doing now is with shapes we had diamonds and we would do the diamonds as the panels and the gapes between as windows. Then we made a table like this

I wake up at the sound of a quacking voice. I feel some thing on my belly I look down to see what it is. I jump out of bed with a fright. There was a duck on my bed "ello poppet" The duck says in an English accent.

"hi.................?" I say confused.

"what?..you talk?" I say

"NO duh" the duck says

"why are you here?" I say

"I'm not" the duck says and flies out the window. Later I walk up to school. I look up in the tree and I saw the duck again. I start to run up to school. After the day had passed I walked home. When I got home the duck was back in my room"hi again" i say

sport

Every Thursday we have sport with Mrs C. It is really fun and we always do different things like one Thursday we do soccer and the next one we do hockey. I hate It when it is raining or when we miss sport for some reason I wish we had more than 1 sports day a week that would be fun. Last week it was raining so we had to do it undercover it is as fun that way but its better that nothing.

We all do different things. The things we do are:
computer corner [ where we go on the computer to work on our blogs like this one ]
independent reading [ where we read a book and write a response about it ]
guided reading [ where we read with the teacher ]
and there' a writing task one [ where we complete a set work sheet ( there mostly always fun)]
and when we are finished we go to the floor and the independent reading group read out there responses.

free dress day

On Friday the 14Th we are having a free dress day. I recon that free dress days are the funnest days wearing clothes. I think we should have them more often. But the best thing is that they raise money for stuff we or people in need, need. I don't know what I'm wearing yet.

preps to 2's sports day

At our school the Preps to 2's had their sports day on the oval. There are three house colours there is red, gold, blue. but you dont get to choose which one you wanna be in. I got put into red they won this year so that's 6 times we have won. The parents cheated in the parent races by holding runners from other teams back and hitting people with the batons. 2 people from my class went in because their wasnt enough parents.
